How to earn money on YouTube
Make money on youtube
It's not as hard to make money from YouTube as you might expect, and there are plenty of ways to do that. Some methods are only feasible if your channel is already very popular, but don't be discouraged–if individuals appreciate what you do and want to help you, even a lower channel can bring in some money.
You may not be able to leave your day job, but you can at least cover your costs with a little work, and maybe turn your channel into a lucrative side-hustle.
You decide to create cash on YouTube, however, make sure that you always tell your viewers the reality. The conditions of service of YouTube clarify how to do it.
If your channel is popular enough, AdSense is the simplest way to make cash on YouTube. You will receive a tiny cut from the advertisements shown on your videos if you are authorized to participate. You will have to enter the YouTube Partner Program before you can join AdSense, which has a few demands:
- Stick to the YouTube Partner Program policies
- Live in a country where the program is available (see the full list)
- Have more than 4,000 public watch hours in the last five months
- Have more than 1,000 subscribers
- Have a linked Google AdSense account (sign up free)
- Do all this
Even if you still don't fulfill the government watch hours and subscribers criteria, you can sign up to have your account reviewed when it reaches the required milestones. Sign into YouTube, select' Creator Studio' and click on your account icon in the top correct corner. Choose' Channel' and click' Functions and Status.' Check' OK' and scroll to' Monetizaton.'
You will then immediately submit your account to YouTube for evaluation if you already fulfill the necessary numbers, or if not later.
Automatic systems and human evaluators are involved in the review process, so expect it to take a little while. On the monetization page of YouTube you can check the status of your application.
You are nice to go if you are authorized. If not, don't worry–you can take the measures you need to make sure your channel meets the demands and attempt again within 30 days.
The Merchandise Shelf is a partnership between YouTube and Teespring, a firm that specializes in promotional T-shirts, hoodies, mugs and other products.
You must be part of the YouTube Partner Program (described above) to be eligible for the Merchandise Shelf, have at least 10,000 subscribers, and have no Community Guideline strikes against your name. In brief, you have to be spotless in your reputation.
You will be able to set up a merchandise shelf if you are in a nation with access to the YouTube Partner Program, but only spectators in chosen nations will be able to purchase your branded goodies (see the complete list).
By uploading artwork to the Design Launcher, you design your merchandise, and when instructed, Teespring prints products and ships them to your spectators. You will earn a cut in earnings for each sale.
Do you not have ten thousand subscribers yet? There are other ways of selling branded merchandise, don't worry. Sites such as Spreadshop (global) and Spreadshirt (UK only) make it simple to design your own T-shirts that are printed on request and delivered directly to your eager spectators without having to touch anything.
